Exploring VR Training for First Responders

We obtained input from over 50 first responders through one-onone discussions, focus groups, questionnaires, and feedback on VR scenarios that we built. In this paper, we 1) describe training challenges we elicited from first responders, 2) review four public safety VR scenarios, 3) discuss feedback we received from first responders after experiencing the public safety VR scenarios, 4) identify core concepts of VR training, and 5) discuss future work.
