Hydraulic-Thermal Combined Frequency Control Considering the difference of Wet and Dry Seasons

As the main resources of frequency regulation, hydropower units and thermal power units have received extensive attention for their coordinated control. However, the characteristics of water resource affected by seasons determine that hydropower units and thermal power units have different operating modes during the wet and dry seasons. On this basis, this paper first analyzes the influence of frequency regulation parameters of hydropower units on frequency control, then proposes strategies of changing frequency regulation parameters of hydropower units in wet and dry seasons, and finally designs the frequency control action logic. Simulation results show that this scheme can meet the control requirements of ensuring smooth power fluctuations of the unit with base load while maintaining frequency stability.
