The control of a Fighter fast nose point via Control integration

The fast nose-point control of a fighter is researched in the frame of Integrated Control System with a multi-strata hierarchical structure. According to the relationship between nose pointing rate and attitude angle, the expected nose pointing model is introduced, and the nose pointing instructions including normal load instructions and tilt angle instructions are obtained to make the nose point to the desired direction quickly. The actuator assignment controller is designed as a mobile command tracker to execute the given command. Then, the nose pointing control is applied to the integrated flight / fire control air-to-air shooting mode with the fast nose pointing control as the core. The simulation results show that the control method can eliminate the aiming error quickly.
