Domestic Load Management with Renewable Energy Integration

This paper presents a demand side management technique that aims at controlling residential appliances during the day by maximizing both the use of local photovoltaic power and the satisfaction of the user's need. Load satisfaction management technique was developed based on two scenarios: the first one uses just solar panels while the second one uses both solar panels and the main grid. The proposed model is formulated as a binary linear programming problem. The simulation and results show the ability of the proposed method to maximize the user's satisfaction while insuring a maximum use of the local generation power.
