Micro-Smart Wind Collecting Technology: Micro Power Generation

The wind turbine at the large scale systems with an enormous towers are expensive, annoying to the wildlife and limited in the middle east culture, the new technology capture free space wind using a multidirectional intake system which will help us to eliminate the need for the yaw control system. Multidirectional intake system accelerates the wind stream using a venturi section and diffuse the air using a diffuser that can be applied as a cooler for a PV system. This new technology has provided an ideal solution for the complexity and the capacity factor by using a ducted flow passage. The main goal from this paper is to model, analyze and understand the small scale and the large-scale systems of this new technology, predict the model performance and provide a sufficient comparison between the new technology and the conventional mechanical turbine, and compare the ducted turbine characteristics with the top- mounted conventional turbine.
