The Impact of Wind Power in Wind-Thermal Hybrid Centralized Transmission on Transient Angle Stability of Power System

China has a unique exploitation of energy resources that is the centralized and large-scale combination of thermal power, wind power, and high-voltage AC-DC transmission, this has a certain impact on the transient angle stability of the power system. The effects of different proportions of wind and thermal power, the grid-connection location of wind power, the rapid recovery of active power of wind power during the fault clearance and reactive voltage control mode on the transient angle stability were studied. In the PSD-BPA power system simulation analysis software, the equivalent aggregated model of wind farm and the hybrid transmission model of wind and thermal power has been established. The actuation time of the transmission section splitting device and the first swing speed of the rotor angle in the thermal power units are adopted as measurement criteria. The simulation verifies the rationality of the proposed characteristics and research conclusions.
