A detailed study on Security breaches of Digital Forensics in Cyber Physical Systems

Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) tries to combine the advanced application of embedded computer and communication technologies with large groups of physical domains such as automotive, civil infrastructure, energy, healthcare and manufacturing. This ability of CPS devices to gather information of surrounding activity in a passive manner results in a plethora of privacy issues. The sensors can collect diverse human activities in the name of physical data which raises the issue of security aspect as being extremely critical in such systems. In today's world, the threats to cybersecurity is a significant concern for every organisation. Digital forensics will help the organisations to detect cyber-attacks and take preventive methods to avoid such attacks in future. This paper highlights the importance of CPS in the modern world of technology. Also, the paper throws light on the challenges of the digital forensics field concerning Cyber Physical systems. Security threats and effects of breaches in the security of modern CPS systems are discussed in this work.
