An Analysis of LMS, NLMS and RLS Filters with Application to DOA Tracking

Direction of arrival (DOA) evaluation and tracking more number of moving targets is one of the most important task. It finds application in the field of navigation, RADAR, SONAR, WSNs (wireless sensor networks) and more. Initially DOA of the targets is estimated using ESPRIT to yield accurate results. Later the estimated DOA of the moving targets is given to the algorithms under study (LMS, NLMS and RLS) and the results are discussed. In the present study, the noncoherent, narrowband moving targets corrupted by Gaussian noise is considered.
