Model Order Reduction of Fixed Coefficient System with and without PID controller

Present paper discuses about model order reduction by using mixed method for a fixed coefficient system. In this method, the reduced order model coefficients of denominator is obtained by Stability equation method, whereas numerator coefficients are obtained by optimization method. Then, a PID controller is designed by Particle Swarm optimization (PSO) for reduced model and that controller can be implemented to original higher order system without changes of the original and reduced system responses. By using numerical example the proposed method is well illustrated.
