Vertical Handover E-TOPSIS Algorithm Mathematical Model using AHP and Standard Deviation Weighing Method

The growing demand for the concept of Always Best Connected (ABC) has led to the rise of heterogeneous network. Vertical handover technique is the key to selection of the best network that satisfies the user and many algorithms have been introduced as a result of this. In this paper, an improved MADM algorithm known as Enhanced-TOPSIS is used in combination with two weighting methods AHP (background, conversational, interactive, and streaming traffic classes) and Standard deviation (SD) to select the best network. The results show that Wi-MAX is the network favored by applications using any traffic class.
