Voltage Mode Third-Order Universal Filter Using a Single CCII

The presented work in this paper discusses a voltage mode third order universal filter using a single second generation current conveyor (CCII). The suggested filters are low pass (LP), high pass (HP), band pass (BP),band reject (BR) and all pass (AP) which comprises four inputs and single output functions acquired by proper selection of inputs. The workability of the designed circuit has been confirmed through Cadence Virtuoso Spectre in 180nm process. The layout of the proposed circuit is obtained followed by pre-layout and post-layout simulation to compare with the theoretical results. Experimental responses have been achieved using current feedback operational amplifier (CFOA) IC AD844 which is commercially available and the results are found in the close agreement with the theoretical propositions.
