Simulation-based Research of BATS Code Applied to Flying Ad-hoc Networks

This article considers BATS code, its implementation in ns-3 network simulator, an analysis of decoding performance and a reasoning of its application in Flying Ad-hoc Networks. BATS is a perspective type of code combining random linear network coding and fountains. BATS is reported to be high efficient in case of unreliable connections. One of the possible applications is disaster preparedness, mitigation and response by means of network of drones.
