Creation of Online Courses in ESP and their Use and Application in the Teaching Process

Due to numerous reasons, online courses might appear as significant and valuable addition to the teaching of English for Special Purposes (ESP). In making an online course, Google's Course Builder application presents a free, practical and versatile tool which, at the same time, appears as easy and logical to use and offers an abundant set of possibilities and options for the creation of a course. After discussing the general concept and issues of ESP in the introduction, the Course Builder application will be described in the central part of the paper, in terms of its installation, features, components and course building options. Subsequently, the opportunities for the use and application of online courses created with the Course Builder application will be presented, both in terms of the classroom use and extracurricular use. In the final part of the paper, some general conclusions will be made.
