Development of Linear Generator Prototype As Part of A Point Absorber Wave Energy Converter

The need to produce energy from renewable sources has gained importance in recent years. The ocean has an energetic potential that justifies studies in search of energy conversion. One such source is the sea waves. In this work the behavior of waves in the Região dos Lagos - Brazil for the year 2017 was verified, where the month of December was the most energetic. The permanent magnets used in the assembly were tested and evaluated before installed. A preliminary Transverse Flux Generator prototype was designed, simulated (by Finite Element Analysis) and assembled to understand the dynamics of a linear generator. The final prototype passed through the same steps and in the end it was possible to verify its behavior in different frequencies of movement.
