Comprehensive and Didactic DC Servomotor Control Platform

This paper proposes a modular and graphical user interface programmable control plant that follows the new academic guidelines for engineering courses in Brazil. It is a project that allows interdisciplinarity and dynamism in Control Systems laboratory classes, and is assembled with affordable and user friendly materials. The test bench is composed of a DC servomotor, a L298n Dual H-bridge driver and an Arduino board, whose angle position and velocity can be programmed graphically and real-time controlled with Simulink software. Cascade Control was successfully implemented in the model, and the proposed plant was considered an useful resource to be used alongside commercial ones in the teaching of control.
