Gas Microturbines for Distributed Generation System

This paper presents the operation and modelling of gas microturbines as Distributed Generation (DG) systems. The studied system consists of a gas microturbine linked to Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG), which is connected to a back-to-back converter. The purpose of this study is to analyze the dynamic behaviour of gas microturbines in a simple and operative model so that the results can be used to investigate the applicability of energy generation. The development of the system will be validated through simulation, using the Simulink-MATLAB

software, whose obtained results will verify the system's operation and suggest possible applications.
