Controller Coefficients Tuning for a Single-Phase Photovoltaic System in Synchronous Reference Frame Through Genetic Algorithm

This paper presents the design and simulation of a single-phase photovoltaic inverter connected to the low voltage power distribution grid. The system is controlled in the synchronous reference frame - dq axis mainly for active power injection. A genetic algorithm is adopted to find the best coefficients for the current controllers. Simulation results are presented using MatLab/Simulink® platform achieving superior performance to the conventional control strategy in the abc frame using Bode plot concepts.
