Enhanced Approach for Finger Vein Recognition using BLPOC

This paper proposes enhanced finger vein recognition algorithm using band limited phase only correlation (BLPOC). Finger vein recognition is a biometric method that is very effective for personal identification because it is difficult to counterfeit and tamper with and has high security In this paper, we propose a band limited phase only correlation based finger vein identification system and investigate the performance of a system designed through a publicly available database. The purpose of this paper is to propose a method for finger vein identification that can achieve high accuracy performance when processing finger vein images.
