Work-in-Progress: A Theoretical Model of loT-based Two-Wheeler Auto-Indicator System to Advance Traffic Violation

Signal lights (aka. indication lights) in vehicles have an important safety function i.e., they demonstrate deceleration and a change in the direction of the vehicle. Neglecting or forgetting to use these signal lights such as indicators while driving have caused major accidents in the recent times. In this paper, a novel method of vehicle false indicator warning, and penalty-fine system is proposed, where the vehicle owner with a valid registration will be sent a warning/penalty notice/fine for violating the traffic rules through a dedicated application (web and/or mobile app), email and SMS. We have also implemented a method to turn off the false indication automatically and provide automatic indication with certain conditions. The main purpose is to inculcate the practice of using vehicle signal lights wherever necessary to avoid violation of traffic rules and accidents. In this paper, the working of false indicator warning and fine system along with the components required for the same is discussed elaborately and its advantages over public implementation is expressed.
