Hardware in the Loop Simulation for Sliding Mode Control Schemes for Deadtime Systems

This document presents the simulation for sliding mode control schemes for dead-time systems using the hardware in the loop technique. The control is applied to the temperature of a heating tank with continuous agitation. MATLAB is used as a simulation tool for the aforementioned plant, which is emulated inside a computer and receives the control actions from the Arduino microcontroller using serial communication employing the described hardware in the loop technique.
