Application of SCA for Level Control of Three-Tank System

In this paper, sine cosine algorithm (SCA) is utilized for controller design of three-tank system. A proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller is proposed for three-tank system by minimizing the integral-of-squared-error (ISE). The SCA is chosen to minimize the ISE in order to obtain the controller parameters. SCA is adopted due to being simple in understanding and effective in performance. To show the effectiveness of SCA, a comparative study is performed. In comparative analysis, the performance of SCA based controller is compared with other controllers designed using classical tuning procedures. The results presented proved that the SCA can successfully be applied for controller design of three-tank system.
