Numerical solution of flows over a trapezoidal obstacles

In this paper, we consider a bidimensional irrotational flow over a multiple trapezoidal obstacles is considered. The fluid is assumed to be incompressible and invisid. Both gravity and surface tension are included in the dynamic boundary conditions. The fully non-linear problem is formulated by using a boundary integral equation technique. The resulting integro-differential equations are solved iteratively by Newton's method. When surface tension and gravity are included, There are two additional parameters in the problem known as the Weber number and Froude number. The problem is solved numerically. Numerical solutions for some symmetric examples are presented. These solutions depend on two parameters: the Weber number, the Froude number.
