Enhancing Packet Delivery Rate in Flying Ad-Hoc Network (FANET) Routing

Communication demands for an important arena in case of any system like Aerial vehicle meant for surveillance purpose with a note of security inbuilt into it, where an effective network projecting competency by preventing an appreciable amount of data-loss is the first objective to be satisfied vehemently. Existing technologies like Flying Ad-Hoc Network (FANET),a derivative of Ad-hoc network, supports the above named Aerial Surveillance System in its own way by establishing a highly dynamic networking system to gear up the basic start-up function, however fails to provide a congestion-free network, consequence a huge data loss. Therefore attempts have been made to nullify the impact of this problem, by eliminating irrelevant rebroadcasting, the sole cause behind such a mishaps. The aim in this paper is to reflect upon the possible ways that may contribute towards an incremental functional competency of Ad Hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing algorithm by proposing a life-time ratio value, a base depending upon which number of active routes can be further discovered in FANET, giving a clear-vision about the route responsible for connectivity with no active output. Comparative analysis is made on the proposed algorithm with the standard AODV in FANET.
