Evaluation of μPMU based intelligent distribution network by AHP and ANP-improved entropy weight methods

To improve the comprehensiveness and reasonability of μPMU based Intelligent distribution networks' performance evaluation, this paper presents a novel evaluation method based on the analytic hierarchy process and the improved entropy weight method. Firstly, the evaluation index system is established and refined by the Spearman rank correlation method to remove the strong correlation among indices. On this basis, an evaluation system of weak vertical correlation is built by the analytic hierarchy process. For the evaluation system, an optimal weighting combination analysis is carried out, jointly by the network analysis method and the improved entropy weight method to overcome each other's drawbacks. The proposed performance evaluation strategy in this study can well reflect the vertical and horizontal correlations among indices, and achieve an effective balance between the subjective and objective weighting. The proposed evaluation strategy is finally tested on an μPMU based Intelligent distribution network.
