Compact Suspension-stripline Circulator For High Power Applications

In this paper, a compact Y junction circulator by using planar triangular ferrite resonators has been designed, simulated and discussed. In order to improve the pulse power capacity, suspension stripline is applied in this design. The power capacity of the circulator is discussed and simulated in full-wave simulation software ANSYS Electronics Desktop. Based on ferrite materials, the circulator works at 8.6 GHz, and isolation is greater than 20 dB from 8 GHz to 9 GHz. Simulated results show a good performance The structure also shows an appreciable ability on insertion loss and power capacity.
