Abstract:

This paper demonstrates that the molding technique for polymer-based flexible microwave electronics can provide excellent production tolerances, with controlled thickness and roughness. Performance evaluation has been done on the CPW line and bow-tie slotted antennas with and without material improvements. The attenuation in CPW lines has been reduced from 0.1dB/cm to 0.06dB/cm. The measurement results of antennas show that reductions in the dielectric loss can boost antenna gain from 3.1dBi to 4.7dBi.
