Investigation of the Electrical, Optical & Structural Characteristics of Mixed Halide Perovskite Thin Films

Solar cells are one of the prominent sources of renewable energy that can be contributed to reducing the dependence on energy imports, whilst improving the security of energy supply. A new arrival in the family of solar cells technologies is the hybrid (organic-Inorganic) mixed halide perovskite solar cell which is an emerging photovoltaic technology in recent year. Perovskite solar cells bring the hope of extremely high power conversion efficiency at a very twopenny rate. In this work, Perovskite materials are prepared by a one-step solution fabrication process to generate polycrystalline structures with diverse grain sizes for incorporation into solar cells. are the main materials used in the synthesis of organic-inorganic hydride perovskite, particularly when the sequential deposition method is employed. To improve the performance of the perovskite, various properties have investigated. The optoelectronic and structural properties of the deposited perovskite thin films have investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (SEM), FT-IR Spectroscopy and UV-Visible spectroscopy. The p-type conduction of perovskite film has confirmed by Hall measurement. The solution-based MAI-lead halide derivatives form polycrystalline materials with chemical versatility allowing the tuning of their optical and electronic properties depending on the ratio of the halides employed.
