Novel Bidirectional Linear Force Motor for Electrohydraulic Proportional Control Valve

This paper presents a novel bidirectional linear force motor with a movable part that made of permanent magnet. Magnetic circuit analysis method and finite element simulation method is used to analyze the static and dynamic performance. The theory and simulation results agree well with each other. The results show that the motor can produce 40N force output when the ampere turns is 600AT within a stroke of ± 2mm, and output force is proportional to the value of current. The frequency response( -3dB) of the force motor is about 25Hz.
