Solar PV Enabled Grid-Interactive Based Microgrid for Short and Medium Transmission Lines

In this paper, a design and analysis of solar photovoltaic (PV) enabled grid-interactive based microgrid architecture is presented for short and medium transmission line. Nowadays renewable energy is installed near the residential premises for effective and reliable energy solutions. Operation with hybrid renewable energy resources also makes microgrid economical and effective. Moreover, it also reduces the cost as well as optimizing the overall energy storage size. The grid is controlled using proportional resonant-based control for the residential premises grid and further, the power is transmitted for short and medium transmission line enabled with smart meters. The analysis of solar inverter, transmission line and proportional resonant-based control are discussed to show the effectiveness of proposed microgrid architecture. Simulation verification is presented to validate the proposed concepts. Finally, a prototype based on a dSPACE 1104 controller is designed to verify the operation of the proposed system
