A UWB Flexible and Compact Antenna for Cancer Detection in Direct Contact with Breast

This letter presents an antenna with partial ground and dimensions 26mm × 36mm. It is printed on 0.05mm thin polyamide flexible substrate, proposed for breast cancer detection in direct contact with breast, for this a breast model has been designed having similarity with electrical property of breast . Partial ground plane is used to enhance the bandwidth which ranges from 2.35GHz to 12.2GHz, covers the ultra-wide band. Reflection coefficient with phantom and without phantom has been simulated and it shows antenna have UWB characteristics with omnidirectional radiation pattern.
