Implementation of Fast Convolution Backprojection for Synthetic Aperture Radar

Convolution backprojection (CBP) is a classical and accurate SAR algorithm without approximation, and the large amount of computation is the main problem that restricts the application of CBP. In order to reduce the computation complexity, the fast implementation method based on sub-image is the direction of current research. In order to avoid azimuth filtering and down-sampling by interpolation, the method of fast filtering by sub-image segmentation based on recursive decomposition is proposed in this paper. Through this algorithm, the image quality is guaranteed and the processing efficiency of CBP is greatly improved.
