Electromagnetic analysis of SiC/PVA polymer thin film for microwave applications

The synthesis of the polymorphic film of SiC (0.5%) doped with PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol) was performed and microwave interaction of the material was observed. The dielectric properties and scattering parameters (S11 and S21) was measured with the help of a VNA (Vector Network Analyzer). The dielectric constant and the dielectric loss of the material was carefully studied. These various parameters give rise to exciting applications in the world of ceramics, ultra-hard alloys, high power electronic circuits, aerospace industry, defense etc.
