Internet of Things: Applications, Challenges and Research Issues

Internet has revolutionized the way of working and human lives in the last decade. At present, IoT is changing the scenario drastically by initiating an indispensable role in current trends and uses emerging technologies consist of heterogeneous communication devices. Lack of resources and mechanism restricts the implementation of IoT in a full phase but in an upcoming time, it will be implemented in major aspects of society and will drastically change the way of working and living. Hence it is important to study IoT, its applications, architecture, limitations and research issues in the present scenario. The paper presents the history of IoT, its applications, challenges and important issues in present context. The comparison of various IoT communication protocols with their strength and weaknesses are presented.
