Reliability of Redundant Telecommunications Equipment Advanced Model Considering Failures and Refusals of Structure Elements

One of the most important tasks in design of modern communication networks including 5G networks is to ensure the timely transmission of information various types with a given quality of service which makes increased demands on the telecommunications equipment reliability indicators of communication networks. The overwhelming majority of publications in this subject area contain results that take into account only persistent hardware refusals but the functioning of software defined networks is significantly affected by failures of both software and hardware. In paper the advanced method of designing the model of telecommunications equipment reliability is substantiated considering the factors complex affecting reliability based on a special type of regenerating process. The complex influence of failures and refusals on the reliability indicators of the main telecommunication equipment parameters of a network fragment with structural and temporary redundancy was evaluated. The important factor in reducing the negative effects of failures on reliability is the parameter of temporary redundancy which leads to a decrease in the equipment refusals number.
