End-to-End Dynamic Bandwidth Resource Allocation Based on QoS Demand in SDN

In this paper, we propose an end-to-end dynamic bandwidth allocation scheme based on QoS demand in Software Defined Networking (SDN). The proposed scheme aims to provide high performance of different network traffic and efficient use of network resources by providing network resources to network traffic according to their QoS demands and the current network status. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme on our emulated SDN network by experiment. The proposed scheme is compared with the traditional single path and flow-based multipath routing schemes. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme provides higher performance in terms of packet loss rate and average network delay for high priority flows than the other two schemes.
