Research on Field Calibration Method of Weighing Precipitation Sensor

In order to guarantee the technical equipment of the weighing precipitation sensor and make its observation data more accurate, this paper takes the DSC3 load-type weighing precipitation sensor produced by Tianjin Huayun Tianyi Special Meteorological Detection Technology Co., Ltd. as an example, and according to its structure and working principle, puts forward to use the standard capacity, ball precision electronic analysis balance to control the flow and simulate different rain intensity to make the symmetrical weight drop, successfully avoiding the error caused by manual water injection. In this paper, discusses the field calibration method of the weighing precipitation sensor from the aspects of the selection of calibration equipment, the control and adjustment of precipitation intensity, and the problems that should be paid attention to in the field calibration. This paper also discusses the calibration of different water levels in the collection container. The results show that the calibration of the weighing type precipitation sensor is independent of the water level of the collection container, can be calibrated at any water level, and the error of different precipitation intensity is stable. The error after calibration can be used as the system error, which is more accurate and reliable than the tipping bucket type precipitation sensor.
