An Ergonomic Chair with Internet of Thing Technology using SVM

Currently, office syndrome is one of the crucial problems since people have to sit on the chair for a long time. In this research, we proposed smart IoT chair that can classify sitting posture. Artificial Intelligent technique was adopted to this research to classify the sitting posture. Preliminary results show that our smart IoT chair combined with our case-study smartphone application can accurately detect 5 sitting postures with 96.2% accuracy. In addition, mobile application was implemented to send the warning message for help the users correct their unbalanced posture.
