Performance Analysis of Partial Relay Selection Networks with Short Packet Communications

In this paper, we study the effect of partial relay selection on performance of dual-hop decode-and-forward networks with short packet communication. The closed form expression of the system block error rate over Rayleigh fading channels are derived for blocklengths as short as 100. To give system insights, we also provide the asymptotic form for the system block error rate. Monte Carlo simulations are provided to verify the correctness of the analysis results.
