Preliminary Study of Radiation Operator Properties for NDF and Resolution Estimation

In this contribution, a preliminary study of number of degree of freedom (NDF) and achievable resolution for the case of planar sources observed over a planar aperture located in near-zone is proposed. In particular, the formulas allowing to estimate both the resolution and NDF in terms configuration parameters have been derived by exploiting a numerical analysis.
