A Novel Teaching Method for the Advanced Engineering Electromagnetics Course Based on a Three-in-one Mode

Advanced engineering electromagnetics (AEE) is characterized by its many mathematical formulas and conceptual abstractions, making students particularly difficult to learn, which also leads students to be not interested in this course. How to help students to understand the content of AEE and increase students' interest in learning is a problem faced by many universities. This paper proposes a "three-in-one" teaching program that combines Harkness table, flipping classrooms and simulations. In this way, the interaction between teachers and students, students and students can be increased, the quality of classroom teaching can be improved, and students' interest in learning can be improved.
