Application of Optical Vibration Sensor on Mine Draught Fan Monitoring System

The malfunction early warning of equipment under mine is of more and more importance as the automation degree increases. The paper shows that through optical fiber vibration sensor mounted on the surface of the draught fan in mine, the amplitude of the vibration signal on fundamental frequency increases, with higher harmonic signal appears as the working condition of the equipment changes from normal to malfunction conditions. The frequency spectrum of the vibration signal of the equipment changes as the working condition of the equipment changes. The mine draught fan monitoring system established on the fiber vibration sensor can thus further implement effective monitoring and malfunction diagnostic of the working conditions of the draught fan with good repeatability, high diagnostic accuracy and reliability.
