Reliability Study on Integral Ring Key Assembly of Small Solid Rocket Motor

In this paper, the reliability of integral ring key assembly of small solid rocket motor is analyzed by simulation and experiment. The integral ring key is a rectangular block composed of some special metal materials, which is directly contact with the motor housing during the assembly process. There are many problems of integral ring key the assembly process, such as large deformation, large friction and metal forming, so it is difficult to install. According to the technical requirements, the platform of assembly is designed. In order to provide different types of small solid rocket motors with integral ring key assembly, the pneumatic element, gas-liquid booster cylinder and ring key positioning structure are adopted to achieve integral ring key assembly. The ring key positioning device is equipped with a variety of positioning components, it can achieve different types of integral ring key assembly. Display dynamics method is used to simulate, within 36 seconds, the deformation and assembly process of certain type of integral ring key. The finite element stress and strain analysis of integral ring key connection structure is carried out in detail.
