Image Fusion Using Wavelet Transform and GLCM Based Texture Analysis for Detection of Brain Tumor

Brain tumor is a cancerous growth of abnormal cells in the brain which is either caused by uncontrolled growth of cells in a specific organ or due to lesions caused by radiation exposure. It is one of main leading causes of death among children and adults. The objective of this paper is to implement associate innovative methodology for detection of brain tumors here during this paper wavelet-based image fusion algorithm is applied to CT (CT) and resonance (MRI) images to extract the redundant and complementary data so as to enhance the detected tumor within the consolidated image. Moreover, to produce better spatial resolution wiener filtering and contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization (CLAHE) is performed to obtain a high contrast fused output image. Gray level co-occurrence matrix is applied for texture analysis.
