Parameter Identification for Induction Motor Eliminating Dead Zone Effect

This paper studies the off-line parameter identification technology of induction motor (IM). Considering the nonlinear characteristics of the skin effect and excitation saturation of the motor, an off-line parameter identification method for induction motor is proposed, which does not require dead-zone compensation. Then, for the current amplitude control problem of parameter identification in the realization process, a current amplitude adaptive adjustment strategy based on the current half-wave average is used as feedback. Aiming at the spectrum leakage problem during applying Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) for parameter calculation, the optimization strategy of excitation current frequency selection is proposed to avoid spectrum leakage, and a complete set of high-precision off-line parameter identification methods is realized. Besides, simulation and experiment results are presented.
