Research on Uninterrupted Phase-Separation Passing Device Based on Three-Phase MMC

When the high-speed train passes through the neutral section, it will lose power supply and rely on inertia taxiing to pass, resulting in greatly reduced speed and serious energy loss. A three-phase MMC-based continuous-current phase-separation passing topology is presented in this paper, which can be directly connected to 27.5 traction power supply system without using transformers. The three lead-out terminals of three-phase MMC are connected to the traction power supply arms on both sides and the neutral section respectively, which can effectively ensure that the locomotive obtains the energy of linear change from the traction power supply arms on both sides during the process of passing through the neutral section, and ensure that the locomotive’s load changes linearly without sudden change while passing through the neutral section Uninterruptedly, thus avoiding the reduction of locomotive’s speed. Finally, the effectiveness of the device is verified by the simulation of MATLAB.
