A New Miniaturized Absorber Frequency Selective Surface for Low Frequency Wave Transmission and High Frequency Absorption

This paper designs a new miniaturized absorber frequency selective surface for low frequency transmission/high frequency absorption. The MAFSS consists of two parts. The upper layer is a meandering absorbing structure, mainly providing a 12-18 GHz absorbing band, and its absorption rate is greater than 90%. The lower layer is a symmetrical frequency selective surface that provides a good transmission performance below 1.8 GHz, and its wave transmission rate is greater than 84%. The MAFSS is small in size, which can effectively avoid grating lobes and has good angular stability. The designed MAFSS has great application value in the field of new invisible radomes.
