Comparative Analysis of Biometric Systems

The paper presents the comparative analysis of modern biometric systems used on a daily basis in portable electronic devices. The analysis will be performed on the basis of Universality, Uniqueness, Permanence, Measurability, Performance, Acceptability and Circumvention. The algorithms on which these systems are based on will be briefly elaborated. This analysis will help in finding out the most secure and efficient way to be implemented in electronic devices. Finally, it summarizes the evolution of these techniques and the probable implementations in the near future. Biometric systems should be reliable because applications include electronic banking, security systems, health and social services. Such high demand and reliability are the reason why there is such a need for biometric systems to improve their techniques and be outsourced in an efficient way. This paper presents the main techniques on which iris, facial and fingerprint recognition system work. And also discusses the present most efficient technique which is secure and the easiest to use based on several factors.
