Wireless Propagation of Electricity: Advancements and Challenges

All the technology of this era somehow depends on electricity directly or indirectly. Frequent advancement is seen in power sector every now and then. In this modern era, the propagation of current is done through copper wires due to its economic nature as compared to silver. Its electrical conductivity dominates its resistivity, so it is preferred for the long-distance propagation and in domestic use too. In this process the major problem is the expense on the wires used to cover remote locations. In addition to that there is also concern of power loss in the form of heat. Since resistance is directly proportional to temperature, therefore it creates a problem for the supplier unit to meet the desired demand of power at the consumer end. In order to overcome this problem, many researchers worldwide are working to find out an alternative way for the propagation of electricity without using copper wire. One of the leading approaches is wireless propagation. Wireless propagation technique is much more economic and power efficient, i.e., there would be less power loss.
