Smart Trash Monitoring System Design Using NodeMCU-based IoT

Advances technology that grows rapidly to the present world, causes the company to provide a variety of programs to develop products based on the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT has a concept that evolves the benefits of being connected in an internet connection continuously. In the cleanliness sector, the role of the IoT is needed to overcome all the problems that exist in the detection of excessive garbage accumulation as early as possible, create efficiency and effectiveness of the garbage transport car in carrying out transportation. Based on this phenomenon, the researcher aims to create a tool and build an application that is integrated with the command center, in having the relevant sectors, that would be a monitor of any temporary waste collection site that is ready to be transported to the final landfill without having a queue for the transportation schedule. This paper aims to modify the role of IoT with a sensor that will very useful to make smart trash monitoring systems. Smart trash monitoring system that builds up in this research is using C programming language, web applications PHP programming, Websocket, and AJAX technology, while for protocol uses MQTT and HTTP. The results show that IoT is useful for this smart trash monitoring system. Smart trash monitoring system works well with high accuracy to control the accumulation of waste, so it can be a priority in transportation and excessive waste accumulation can be minimized. It shows a mature technology and it can be a major suggestion to governance generally, and especially for Sanitary Office.
