Analysis of Network Capacity Effect on Ceph Based Cloud Storage Performance

The Ceph-based data storage system requires a network connection to integrate storage devices within the storage cluster. therefore, this component greatly affects the performance of the Ceph storage system. This study discusses the influence of network connection capacity on the performance of Ceph storage systems. Tests are carried out using direct measurement methods on storage nodes, through networks, and storage on Ceph clusters. Network capacity is varied by using 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps. From the test, we found a significant difference in system performance between network usage with a capacity of 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps.
